Admission Procedure

Admission to 2-Year B.Ed. Programme for the Session 2026–2028 :

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates through the College website www.ssce.ac.in for admission to the 2-Year B.Ed. Programme under Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU) (formerly The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration) from 7th September 2026 to 13th September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must be graduates in a school subject from a recognised university.
2. Minimum Marks:: At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (Honours/General) or in the Master’s Degree in the relevant school subject. For two-year Master’s Degree programmes, the final marks will be considered.
3. For Honours Graduates: Only the marks obtained in the Honours subject will be considered.
4. For General Graduates:: The aggregate of all subjects across three years will be considered.
5. Candidates without School Subject at Honours or PG Level: Candidates having at least one method subject taught in the college at the undergraduate level are also eligible. They will be considered under the General Graduate category and must not enter Honours or Master’s Degree in Step 3 of the online form submission.
6. Engineering Graduates: Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. degree having 55% marks with specialization in Science and Mathematics may apply. Marks should be entered under Honours Degree; M.E./M.Tech., if applicable, under Master’s Degree.
7. Reservations: As per Government of West Bengal norms.
   A relaxation of 5% in marks is applicable for SC/ST/PwD (minimum 40% disability) candidates.

Application Fees :

There is no application fee. No charges will be taken for uploading/scanning documents or accessing the application form/prospectus.

Application Process :

1. Applications must be submitted online only through www.ssce.ac.in.
2. Dates: 7th September 2026 to 13th September 2026
3. Applicants are advised to read the "How to Apply" section on the website carefully before filling out the form.
4. No requests or corrections will be entertained after the closing date.

Admission Fee Payment :

Selected candidates must pay admission fees through e-payment or the designated bank. Physical payment at the college will not be accepted.

Document Submission (Post Admission) :

Admitted students must submit:

1. One set of self-attested photocopies of all credentials
2. Original documents for verification
3. Three recent passport-size photographs
   Verification will be conducted in due course during physical reporting.

Bengali, English, Life Science, Mathematics, Fine Arts, History, Geography, and Education.
